Woman-Owned Personal Injury Law Firm · Texas

Female Personal Injury Lawyers at a Woman-Owned Texas Firm

Built by a founder. Led with purpose. LOAR PLLC is a woman-owned personal injury law firm founded by trial lawyer Amber Russell. If you have been looking for a female personal injury attorney in Texas who will take your call, prepare your case as if it is going to trial, and treat you like a person instead of a claim number, that is exactly what this firm was built to do.

Amber’s story resonates with women because it is not only about building a law firm. It is about building something that reflects courage, excellence, entrepreneurship, and the belief that success should open doors for others. Today LOAR handles serious injury and wrongful death claims across Texas, and works with clients and referring counsel in Colorado and Washington.

Female Personal Injury Lawyer in Texas

Why people look for a female personal injury attorney

Most people searching for a female personal injury lawyer are not making a statement. They are recovering from a crash, a fall, or the loss of someone they love, and they want a lawyer they can be honest with. Sometimes the injury is personal. Sometimes a previous firm made them feel like a file number. Sometimes they simply want a woman personal injury attorney who will listen first.

You want to be believed

Insurance adjusters are trained to minimize pain that does not show up on an X-ray. A female injury lawyer who has heard those arguments hundreds of times knows how to document the parts of a recovery that a claims file leaves out.

You want to reach your lawyer

LOAR is small on purpose. Clients get direct communication, honest timelines, and a real answer when they ask what happens next — not a call center and not a rotating intake team.

You want trial-ready preparation

Amber Russell trained as a defense litigator at Baker Botts before she represented injured people. Every case is built the way the other side builds theirs: evidence first, then the demand.

Founder Story

Amber built LOAR to be different.

Amber Russell graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s in Psychology before graduating from the University of Texas School of Law with distinguished honors, Order of the Coif, in the top 10% of her class. She began her career at Baker Botts, where she developed the discipline and training of a major-firm litigator.

But Amber’s calling was always tied to people. During law school, she worked with groups serving victims of domestic and sexual violence and individuals alleging wrongful conviction. Over time, she moved from defending institutions to representing individuals and families facing serious injury, loss, and injustice.

LOAR was founded from that conviction: a firm could be excellent and compassionate, strategic and human, ambitious and grounded in service.

“I didn’t start LOAR to build the biggest personal injury firm. I started it to build the kind of firm I believed clients, attorneys, and communities deserved.”

— Amber Russell, Founder of LOAR PLLC
Why Woman-Owned Matters

Leadership changes how a firm feels, operates, and grows.

Empathy with edge

LOAR believes clients should feel heard and protected while their case is prepared with discipline, evidence, and legal force.

Excellence without ego

The firm is built around teamwork, preparation, clear communication, and accountability — not volume or showmanship.

Growth that opens doors

Amber’s vision extends beyond case results: mentorship, women’s leadership, SOAR scholarships, and community relationships are part of the firm’s identity.

Legal Credibility

Serious credentials. Serious case preparation.

Amber has helped hundreds of clients who have been seriously injured, including victims of trucking and auto crashes. Since founding LOAR PLLC, Amber and her team have represented approximately 100 clients and families. Having worked on both sides — first as a defense attorney and now as a plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer — she understands how cases are evaluated, defended, negotiated, and resolved.

She has been recognized by Thomson Reuters as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star, by Martindale-Hubbell, by Austin Monthly as a Top Attorney, and by the Travis County Women Lawyers Association.

Complex injury experience: catastrophic injury, trucking crashes, auto collisions, and wrongful death matters.
Defense-informed strategy: insight into how insurers and defendants evaluate risk and liability.
Modern case building: scene inspections, forensic review of electronic data, experts, and evidence-driven preparation.
Client-centered advocacy: communication, care, and accountability throughout difficult seasons.
Empowerment & Community

Success should create opportunity for others.

Amber’s leadership extends beyond the courtroom. She serves on boards and mentoring organizations in Austin and Dallas supporting women attorneys. She is a frequent teacher and invited lecturer for legal, entrepreneurial, and leadership groups across Texas.

Through SOAR, Amber and her husband help provide scholarship support and mentorship to students building meaningful futures. The program reflects a core belief behind LOAR: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not.

Women in Law

LOAR creates spaces where women attorneys and professionals can connect, support one another, and build lasting referral and friendship networks.

SOAR Scholarship

SOAR invests in students through scholarships, mentorship, and support for both college and skills-based career pathways.

Common Questions

Female personal injury lawyer: common questions

Is LOAR PLLC actually a woman-owned law firm?

Yes. LOAR PLLC was founded by and is owned and led by Amber Russell, a Texas trial lawyer. It is a woman-owned personal injury law firm, not a franchise or a marketing brand layered onto a larger firm.

Will a woman attorney handle my case personally?

Amber is personally involved in the cases the firm accepts. LOAR keeps its caseload deliberately limited so clients speak with the lawyers actually working the file. Meet the team.

Does it cost anything to talk to a female injury lawyer?

No. Consultations are free, and LOAR works on a contingency fee with a no-fee guarantee. You owe nothing unless there is a recovery.

What kinds of injury cases does LOAR take?

Serious and catastrophic injury, trucking and commercial vehicle crashes, wrongful death, premises liability, and Texas non-subscriber work injury claims. See all practice areas.

How do I choose between personal injury lawyers?

Ask who will actually work the file, how many cases the firm carries, and whether the lawyers have tried cases. We wrote a guide on how to choose a personal injury lawyer.

How does LOAR build a case?

Evidence first. See how LOAR builds serious cases and how insurers evaluate injury claims.

Built differently. Still built to win.
