Jean R. Phillips
A serious-injury and justice-focused attorney who helps people rebuild after catastrophic injury, traumatic falls, complex premises and products cases, wrongful death, and eminent domain disputes—serving clients across Austin, College Station, San Antonio, South Austin, and New Braunfels.
Jean R. Phillips is an Austin personal injury attorney at LOAR PLLC, where she focuses her practice on personal injury and condemnation/eminent domain matters. Based in Austin and licensed in Texas since 2018, she represents individuals and families whose lives have been disrupted by serious injury, loss, and legal uncertainty.
From condemnation experience to client-centered advocacy.
Before joining LOAR, Jean began her legal career at a large law firm, where she represented condemning authorities and handled complex commercial litigation—experience that gives her valuable perspective in condemnation and eminent domain matters today.
Today, she uses that experience on behalf of clients at LOAR, helping people navigate difficult moments with clarity, preparation, and care. A native Austinite and Texas A&M graduate, Jean brings a strong sense of community and deep Central Texas roots to her work, building relationships across Austin, College Station, San Antonio, South Austin, and New Braunfels.
Clients and colleagues know Jean as thoughtful, prepared, empathetic, and steady under pressure—someone who brings both legal skill and humanity to her representation. Outside the office, Jean enjoys yoga, travel, spending time with her family, and hanging out with her cat, Cooper.
Austin roots and a deep commitment to the people she serves.
A native Austinite, Jean attended Texas A&M University, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. Her undergraduate education helped shape the analytical, communication, and advocacy skills that would later define her legal career.
She went on to earn her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law, graduating second in her class, where she distinguished herself as both a scholar and an advocate.
Focused on serious injury, condemnation, and trial-level preparation.
At LOAR, Jean focuses on serious injury and justice cases—the firm does not take every matter—and she is part of a trial-focused team that prepares cases with the discipline and thoroughness needed to create accountability—combining excellent legal work with compassion, responsiveness, and a commitment to helping clients secure stability for the future.
