Amber Russell
Founder of LOAR PLLC — a woman-owned Texas trial firm for serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. Nearly two decades of experience on both sides of the courtroom.

From defending institutions to standing up for people.
Amber Russell’s path to founding LOAR began at the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology, and continued at the University of Texas School of Law, where she graduated with distinguished honors and was inducted into the Order of the Coif — a distinction reserved for the top ten percent of the class.
She began her career nearly two decades ago at Baker Botts, practicing on the defense side for large institutional clients. That training shaped how she understands serious litigation: how corporate defendants and their insurers investigate claims, value damages, select experts, and prepare for trial.
Then she switched sides. Since dedicating her practice to injured people, Amber has represented hundreds of clients in serious injury matters — including victims of trucking and auto crashes, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death. The defense-side perspective never left; it now works for her clients.
Building the firm clients and attorneys deserve.
Amber founded LOAR PLLC to prove that a personal injury firm can be built on substance: disciplined case selection, trial-level preparation, honest communication, modern technology, and genuine care for the people behind each case.
The firm is intentionally selective. Rather than pursuing volume, LOAR focuses on serious matters where preparation, judgment, and experience meaningfully change outcomes — and manages a balanced docket so attorneys can invest properly in every case and every client relationship.
That model has made LOAR a trusted partner for referring attorneys and medical professionals across Texas, and the foundation for the firm’s careful growth beyond it.

Amber has been recognized by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers — as a Rising Star from 2013 through 2022 and as a Super Lawyer from 2022 through 2026 — along with Martindale-Hubbell recognition, selection as an Austin Monthly Top Attorney, and recognition by the Travis County Women Lawyers Association.
She is licensed to practice in Texas and serves on boards of mentoring associations in Austin and Dallas that support women attorneys.
Opening doors for the next generation.
Amber and her husband launched SOAR (Scholarship Opportunities and Relationships), a scholarship and mentoring program supporting young women who are the first in their families to pursue higher education or who have overcome significant challenges. Each year, SOAR selects a class of high-achieving scholars and pairs financial support with professional development and mentoring throughout their education.
SOAR reflects the same conviction that drives LOAR: talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not — and relationships change what is possible. Learn more about the SOAR Scholarship Program, meet the 2026 scholars, or join the firm at its Women in Law and community events.
Serious cases. Serious preparation.
Whether you’re an injured person, a grieving family, or an attorney evaluating a referral, LOAR will help you understand the next step — clearly and without pressure.
