I started LOAR to reinvent the Personal Injury practice, focusing on long-term goals balancing client success, community impact, and a positive, growth-oriented work environment. As part of this, we launched SOAR, a nonprofit scholarship foundation, to provide $100K in annual college scholarships to 20 outstanding female students. We also began hosting Women in Law events to bring together women in the legal profession to foster connections, provide support, and expand our professional networks. The same spirit of connection and support flows through our firm, and it’s a large part of what has driven our success.

In these forums, a common question we get is how we can collaborate with LOAR PLLC. In some cases, these were firm owners who were looking to supplement their income, provide new services for their local relationships, or maintain their autonomy while getting the benefits of a large firm. In other cases, we have had conversations with women who left the workplace for a variety of reasons, whether their desired location doesn’t have the right options, staying at home with children, or they are at a career stage where they are seeking to scale back their commitments. In these cases, they want to stay intellectually engaged in law, maintain professional relationships and supplement their income while focusing on their other priorities.

We built our Attorney Partner Network to provide for these partnership opportuntities.

Attorney Referrals

For those attorney’s that would like to exclusively focus on their firm specialty, they are able to earn money on referrals while monitoring the case as a Co-Counsel. We recognize in your practice and in your community, people rely on you for legal advice. When someone you care about is injured, you want to send them to the Best Personal Injury Law Firm. We pride ourselves in doing the best work for our clients and also paying the best attorney's fees to our Referral Partners. As a Referral Partner:

  1. You share in a portion of the attorney’s fee (typically 1/3rd)

  2. You have a self-serve portal to check case progress

  3. Your communications are covered by attorney client privilege

  4. You are included in Referral Partner events

Example: When a lawyer refers us a case and we resolve it for $1,000,000, and the attorney's fees are 40%, that lawyer as a Referral Partner receives 1/3rd of the fee, totaling: $133,333

Of Counsel - Virtual Flex

Our Virtual Flex program is built for experienced attorneys who have at least 10 hours a week to work on cases. These Of Counsel roles are onboarded and trained on LOAR systems to unlock all the firm’s capabilities for their benefit. Of Counsel roles can either bring in cases from their network or work cases that come through LOAR marketing which may be of interest for them.

When an Of Counsel accepts the case, they are assigned ownership for working this case through resolution. Of Counsel roles have the support of Paralegals and expert attorneys to work through the various stages of a case.

When cases close, they receive a percentage of the attorney fees received on the case. Of Counsels can scale up and down their workload based on their time and compensation desires. These attorneys can work as much as they want by accepting more cases but have flexibility in when they work and where they work to handle their responsibilities. We partner with these attorneys to provide the ultimate flexibility allowing them to stay connected to their legal and professional interest’s world while pursuing other passions.

Firm Practice Expansion - Of Counsel Contributor

Of Counsel Description

Enabling Technology and Process - One of the other aspects of LOAR that allows this to be done so seamlessly for our attorneys and our clients, is the technology-forward foot we launched on. I started LOAR right when the world shut down for COVID, so we had to do things differently. Our team and clients work together across the state, not limited by which office they work in or where they live. While the work can be done virtually, the firm also believes in the power of face-to-face conversations and relationships. The LOAR offices are set up with flexible space to allow for hosting partners, clients, or community events. Our in-person offices are located in Austin, DFW, Waco, Houston, Edinburg, Seattle, and Denver and we have attorneys and paralegals that are located virtually across the USA.

Attorney Resources - LOAR provides access to software (MyCase & Microsoft programs), an email address, IP phone and virtual faxes through Ooma. Access to client files will be limited to the cases and case projects Attorney is actively working on. Attorney will use their own resources, such as supplies, equipment, tools, and materials to complete Services, unless necessity requires the use of Firm’s resources and premises, and those requirements are defined in this document. LOAR assigns a legal assistant to assist on each of Attorney’s cases and provide an office or conference room to Attorney on an as-needed basis.

Client Obsessed - While we maintain a flexible model to allow contributions and ownership of cases by Of Counsels, great lengths are taken to ensure a world class client experience. All client interactions (emails, texts, case updates) and documents are facilitated through our Case Management software ensuring all LOAR team members are prepared to step in and assist at any time with the case process.

Marketing - LOAR will promote and provide resources to Attorney including:

  1. Attorney’s profile and headshot will be on LOARTexas.com and spotlighted to thousands of connections via LOAR Facebook and LinkedIn.

  2. Invited to Firm Events including Women in Law events, Summer Celebration, and other opportunities to expand their network.

  3. Included in some of Firm’s promotional content, including videos, commercials, ads and other assets used across all marketing channels, Video Content Creation. Firm films video content, such as commercials, to use as assets across all marketing channel.

Areas of Practice

  • Our team has experience helping people who have been hurt as a result of a truck driver’s negligence. No one can erase what happened, but we can help you get justice. Make the call that matters.

  • Many who have lost a loved one face not only grief, but also the sudden imperative to provide for themselves and their family. While no amount of money will ease the pain of losing a loved one, we believe that holding negligent parties accountable, we help ensure that this same type of tragedy does not happen to another family. In instances of wrongful death, Texas Courts may grant spouses, children, and even parents compensation for financial and emotional losses.

  • The Law Office of Amber Russell helps clients who have been hurt in car wrecks every day. They have made recoveries for clients who have lost loved ones as a result of drunk drivers, distracted drivers, and delinquent company drivers.

  • We are passionate about helping families recover after a tragedy. Our firm has represented clients in trucking crashes, premises liability cases, victims of sexual harassment, and children who have been injured.

  • Your injuries may be an example of many others’ experiences. By contacting a Texas personal injury attorney right away, you could be in the position to begin a class action lawsuit or to join an existing action. The only way to determine if you are one of many people similarly hurt is to speak with an experienced attorney.

  • If you or your loved one has suffered a severe work injury or has tragically lost their life while on the job, our workplace injury lawyers, wrongful death attorneys, and accomplished support staff provide trusted legal representation for our fellow Texans.

  • When you are hurt on someone else’s property, what should have been a fun vacation, an important work trip, or a simple run to the store can become a nightmare. We can help. Property owners who invite you on their property for their own benefit (like hotels, apartments, grocery stores, restaurants, and other businesses), owe a duty to protect you from any unreasonably dangerous conditions that they knew or should have known about. This can include the condition at the property like a concealed hole on the walking path, or even the risk of being a victim of a violent crime.

  • The Texas Supreme Court issued an opinion on a case involving the death of a ranch employee and determined the Farm Animal Liability Act does not apply to “ranchers and ranch hands.” We can help Ranch Hands injured at work.

  • Pedestrian and bicycle crashes require a special approach to understand the mechanisms of injury and neutralize specific attacks against non-motorized vehicles on the road. Don’t let the defendant blame you, call for help navigating your case, 512-777-3135.

  • Nursing homes and long-term care facilities are required to provide a certain standard of care, yet they often fall short. They fail to keep their residents as clean, healthy, and safe as they should. Neglect in nursing homes, or worse yet, abuse, can cause your loved one to get hurt or deteriorate. If you suspect that your loved one is suffering from neglect or abuse at a care facility, do not hesitate to call us.

  • If you’ve been injured while working on a maritime vessel, offshore oil or gas rig, ship, tug boat, or any other number of vessels, you could be covered under the Jones Act, which has protected maritime workers, seamen, sailors and others who work on U.S. territorial waters for nearly a century. Or you could be covered by maritime law, also known as admiralty law.

  • We are thankful for our first responders and frontline medical personnel, now more than ever. Not all medical providers, however, are created equal. When a hospital or nursing home prioritizes profits over safety, this results in understaffing, failure in training, and rushed decisions. Then bad things happen and innocent people get hurt. If you’ve been injured as a result of medical malpractice, call us and see how we can help.

  • The condemnation process in Texas is complex, and when the governmental authorities come to take your property, our firm will fight for you to ensure you are not run over in the process.

  • Helping those who cannot afford legal services is at the heart of our firm. LOAR, PLLC takes on cases, free of charge, in the areas of family law (including divorces, foster care, and adoption) and criminal justice for victims of physical and/or sexual abuse.
