LOAR 2025 New Year’s Letter
Transforming the Personal Injury Industry with Heart and Vision
Friends and Community,
As we reflect on an extraordinary year, we are deeply grateful for the milestones we’ve achieved and the relationships that made them possible. At LOAR PLLC, our mission extends beyond securing legal victories—it’s about reimagining how we serve our clients, empower our team, and create meaningful change in our communities. Together, we are not just building a firm but a legacy rooted in compassion, innovation, and justice.
Delivering Life-Changing Results
This year has been one of incredible growth and meaningful advocacy. Our legal victories have brought hope and justice to families in need:
In one unforgettable case, we rewrote our legal strategy overnight after receiving key documents late. Despite this challenge, we secured a life-changing settlement for a widow and her children in a seven-figure wrongful death case.
In a government discrimination case, we uncovered our strongest witness just before trial and successfully proved systemic bias, overcoming significant procedural hurdles.
In the challenging area of medical malpractice—where legislative changes have limited opportunities for justice—we resolved five cases this year, achieving six-figure recoveries for families. While monetary outcomes are often capped, the validation of the harm these families endured remains one of the most meaningful outcomes.
These stories illustrate our team’s resilience, creativity, and relentless pursuit of justice.
Differentiating in a Crowded Market
At LOAR PLLC, we pride ourselves on tackling complex legal challenges with agility and innovation. This year, we stood out in several ways:
We zealously pursued discovery misconduct by opposing parties, securing a rare $21,000 sanction award—an important win for our clients and accountability in the legal system.
In a nursing home case involving a missing dementia patient, we helped the family organize rescue teams and press conferences to enlist public support. Our efforts contributed to a national publication studying the dangers of elopement in care facilities, a crisis that has resulted in nearly 100 preventable deaths over the past six years.
We worked closely with families impacted by DWI tragedies, collaborating with MADD to address systemic issues. In one case, we supported a family as they navigated the criminal justice system, ultimately helping to secure a decades-long prison sentence for a repeat offender who caused a devastating loss.
Cultivating a Great Work Environment
We are committed to being one of the best places to work in the legal industry:
This year, we grew our team from 6 to 13 members and expanded to Denver, Seattle, and Houston, broadening access to justice across communities.
Our hybrid work model and cutting-edge technology streamline workflows, allowing our team to focus on impactful work while maintaining balance and provides flexibility for our team.
Comprehensive benefits, wellness programs, and professional growth opportunities ensure our team thrives. We celebrate every success—whether it’s a courtroom victory or a personal milestone. We capped this off with a team trip to Miraval Resort & Spa.
Building and Uplifting Our Community
At LOAR, our commitment to community is foundational:
Through the SOAR Scholarship Foundation, we awarded $100,000 in scholarships this year, empowering 20 women to pursue higher education. In our third year of the program, we’ve provided a total of $250,000 in scholarships.
Our Women in Law initiatives connected over 6,000 women attorneys through in-person and online events, fostering stronger professional networks.
We paid $400,000 in attorney referral fees, reinforcing trust and collaboration with our valued partners.
We participated in impactful pro bono efforts, including Adoption Day and community legal clinics, to extend our reach and support those in need.
Financial Health and Strategic Growth
We are proud to operate with zero debt, fully funding initiatives like the SOAR Scholarship program at the start of each year. Our seven-figure profits are reinvested into expanding access to justice and advancing the legal industry. This year, we invested in new technologies, expanded practice areas, and broadened our geographic reach.
Looking Ahead to 2025
We are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead. In 2025, we anticipate filling new attorney roles in Dallas, Denver, and Houston, and we plan to double the number of clients we serve. By embracing cutting-edge technologies such as Generative AI and advanced investigatory tools, we will continue to improve advocacy for our clients. Additionally, we will host 10 Women in Law events across three states, deepening our relationships with the attorney community and building momentum for positive change.
A Heartfelt Thank You
None of this would be possible without the trust of our clients, the dedication of our team, and the support of our partners and friends. Together, we are building a firm that stands for justice, compassion, and innovation. From our LOAR family to yours, we wish you a joyful, prosperous, and meaningful New Year. Let’s make 2025 a year to remember.
With gratitude,
Amber Russell

Areas of Practice
-
Our team has experience helping people who have been hurt as a result of a truck driver’s negligence. No one can erase what happened, but we can help you get justice. Make the call that matters.
-
Many who have lost a loved one face not only grief, but also the sudden imperative to provide for themselves and their family. While no amount of money will ease the pain of losing a loved one, we believe that holding negligent parties accountable, we help ensure that this same type of tragedy does not happen to another family. In instances of wrongful death, Texas Courts may grant spouses, children, and even parents compensation for financial and emotional losses.
-
The LOAR helps clients who have been hurt in car wrecks every day. They have made recoveries for clients who have lost loved ones as a result of drunk drivers, distracted drivers, and delinquent company drivers.
-
We are passionate about helping families recover after a tragedy. Our firm has represented clients in trucking crashes, premises liability cases, victims of sexual harassment, and children who have been injured.
-
Your injuries may be an example of many others’ experiences. By contacting a Texas personal injury attorney right away, you could be in the position to begin a class action lawsuit or to join an existing action. The only way to determine if you are one of many people similarly hurt is to speak with an experienced attorney.
-
If you or your loved one has suffered a severe work injury or has tragically lost their life while on the job, our workplace injury lawyers, wrongful death attorneys, and accomplished support staff provide trusted legal representation for our fellow Texans.
-
When you are hurt on someone else’s property, what should have been a fun vacation, an important work trip, or a simple run to the store can become a nightmare. We can help. Property owners who invite you on their property for their own benefit (like hotels, apartments, grocery stores, restaurants, and other businesses), owe a duty to protect you from any unreasonably dangerous conditions that they knew or should have known about. This can include the condition at the property like a concealed hole on the walking path, or even the risk of being a victim of a violent crime.
-
The Texas Supreme Court issued an opinion on a case involving the death of a ranch employee and determined the Farm Animal Liability Act does not apply to “ranchers and ranch hands.” We can help Ranch Hands injured at work.
-
Pedestrian and bicycle crashes require a special approach to understand the mechanisms of injury and neutralize specific attacks against non-motorized vehicles on the road. Don’t let the defendant blame you, call for help navigating your case, 512-777-3135.
-
Nursing Home Neglect Nursing homes and long-term care facilities are required to provide a certain standard of care, yet they often fall short. They fail to keep their residents as clean, healthy, and safe as they should. Neglect in nursing homes, or worse yet, abuse, can cause your loved one to get hurt or deteriorate.
-
If you’ve been injured while working on a maritime vessel, offshore oil or gas rig, ship, tug boat, or any other number of vessels, you could be covered under the Jones Act, which has protected maritime workers, seamen, sailors and others who work on U.S. territorial waters for nearly a century. Or you could be covered by maritime law, also known as admiralty law.
-
We are thankful for our first responders and frontline medical personnel, now more than ever. Not all medical providers, however, are created equal. When a hospital or nursing home prioritizes profits over safety, this results in understaffing, failure in training, and rushed decisions. Then bad things happen and innocent people get hurt. If you’ve been injured as a result of medical malpractice, call us and see how we can help.
-
The condemnation process in Texas is complex, and when the governmental authorities come to take your property, our firm will fight for you to ensure you are not run over in the process.
-
Helping those who cannot afford legal services is at the heart of our firm. LOAR, PLLC takes on cases, free of charge, in the areas of family law (including divorces, foster care, and adoption) and criminal justice for victims of physical and/or sexual abuse.
