There are so many ways to get involved. If you are interested in donating, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit. You can donate via our online system, or mail a check, to SOAR at 6101 W. Courtyard Blvd., Bldg.1-150, Austin Texas 78730. More information and our 501(c)(3) letter is available below.

We are also looking for additional community members to engage in the program. The relationship aspect of SOAR (Scholarship Opportunities and Relationship) is a critical part of our mission. Part of the program is introducing our SOAR scholars to great alumni from their school and professionals working in the same fields as they are studying. Our community is what makes this program work, and we are so grateful to all who are willing to give some time to invest in the next generation and serve as positive role models.  If you are interested, please click on the button for Relationship Builders below.

Donate to SOAR Scholars

SOAR Texas has been a tax exempt non-profit since June 2022. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, and donations are tax deductible.

We are primarily self-funded, and while we accept donations from the community, we don’t solicit them. We prefer to ask for your time to support and encourage our scholars by attending events or volunteering as a relationship builder. As such, our funding status means SOAR Texas is classified as a private non-operating foundation under 509(a). A 509(a) non-profit is a specific type of 501c3. Section 509 categorizes organizations as either public charity or a private foundation, and operating or non-operating. Operating foundations are directly involved in operating a charitable project such as a museum. Non-operating foundations serve their charitable purpose primarily by making grants (such as SOAR’s scholarships).
